Thanks for your input! There's no better vote of   confidence than the one we got from you, our valued customers. You asked   -- no, you pleaded -- for us to stay nearby where we could continue to   serve your needs with the same level of service and commitment.

After almost 80 years at our historic mid-city   location, Southern's corporate headquarters on Tulane Avenue near   downtown has been expropriated by the State of Louisiana to make way for   the new LSU / VA Medical Complex. We have relocated to 2301 Julia St.   (corner of Galvez at the Interstate) and now occupy a beautifully   renovated 60,000 square-foot facility only blocks from our previous   location. We are adjacent to Poydras St. next to Boh Brothers   Construction, and still only blocks from the Louisiana Superdome.   (Please see the map below.) 

A WORD ABOUT SOUTHERN:  

Founded   in 1932 as a local distributor of electronic supplies, we now serve as a   national and international distributor of electronics, security, audio   video, automation, datacom and electrical supplies. We serve corporate,   commercial and industrial accounts, and our customers include government   agencies, healthcare institutions, contractors, construction,   engineering and architectural customers, and a variety of non-profit   organizations and small businesses. 

Our new facility, formerly a blighted warehouse   facing the Interstate in downtown New Orleans, is being completely   restored and renovated. We hope this will serve as a catalyst to   encourage further development in the area. We are still conveniently   located near the hub of three major traffic thoroughfares, I-10 East,   I-10 West and Highway 90. We are easily accessed from Airline Highway,   Poydras St. and S. Claiborne Ave. and convenient for customers traveling   from Downtown, New Orleans East, Uptown, Metairie and the Westbank.
